In my thoughts today I began to ponder the current state and political affairs of the franchise we call church. As I do a quick comparison between the Old Testament "Church" (Natural Israel Acts 7:38) and the current Church (Spiritual Israel Romans 9:6) I find some striking similarities and some alarming facts. After Showing many signs and wonders to Israel in Egypt, God led them by the hand and the leadership of Moses. The "what could have been 40 year wilderness journey" took 80 years because of their murmurings and disobedience. They continually looked back on what was, set up false idols from Babylon and Egypt, murmured against Moses and God, tried to cast down Aaron from his priestly role and asked for an earthen king to rule instead of allowing God to rule through one man. The cold hard truth is that we honestly have a trust issue with following a God appointed man.
We think that we are entitled to some type of vote or that our opinion really matters. When it comes to True God given Government it is not up to us to decide who does what and who is our approved by us leaders. That is what is wrong with modern day believers. I have seen divisions over what color the carpet of a building should be to whom or who is not qualified to be our Pastor. We even want to decide how much we want to or not to pay our Pastors. Just because we give of our tithe or abundance does not give us the free right to dictate or complain where the monies are spent or divided up. It is the Pastors job. The Pastors are the ones who must conform to not only godly counsel but to fall into alignment with their God appointed Spiritual Father. If you as a Pastor have no leadership but Denominational rule as your accountability and licensing factors then you have become dependent upon established law and do not operate according to the fivefold ministry. If you are disconnected from the head then you will not receive the flow of anointing that your Spiritual Fathers imparts to you. You will have a self existent and self reliant rule of law to live up to. True church government exists upon the premise of Faith. If you are in alignment with your God appointed spiritual Father then your will not only has your portion of anointing but he imparts his mantle to you for a double portion. The modern version of church is so much like the polarized atmosphere of the Jews in the days of Christ. Notice that they even had the same ideas to how, when and where the Messiah would return. They believed that their Messiah would come set up His rule, cast out everyone else who is not of their point of view and give them the riches of their earthly inheritance. What are we doing church? That is exactly it.......We are doing Church and not being The Church. We go visit for voting and socializing. We go to chat about the latest gossip about others. We even hear the Word as the Jews did but have little or no understanding of its true meaning. We become sponges instead of vessels that hold water. A vessel can be drank from and can contain the contents given to it without seepage or loss but a sponge can only retain so much before it begins to lose its ability to retain anything else. The Jews heard the Word so much that it lost its true weight. You will never be able to truly satisfy those who come to drink from the fountain of Christ in you if you cannot retain Him. He is the water by the Word (Ephesians 5:26) your ability to retain Him will also be your continued cleansing or sanctification for yourself and for your sons. Money! What a possessor it is. As you look around you try and notice the environment and the management of the Church and finance. We are making decisions to build beautiful TV ministries, church buildings and clothing of the Church. They are glorious to look at but hollow once you get past their exteriors. There is nothing their but air when you peak inside. (And we wonder why the world sees us in disarray) We are only appealing on the outside. That is a form of Godliness but not true Godliness. It is words without action. You can speak your game plans all day long everyday and they make sense to everyone but it isn't until we get off of our dead carcasses that we can get results from the vision. My Spiritual Father told once stated to me the perversion of a verse from Proverbs 29:18. Without a vision, the people perish. That is such a commonly misused verse that promotes the idea of a false or immature leader. What the leader fails to realize is that without the people, the vision perishes as well. We are interconnected and should always be mindful of not only the Pastors vision but his need of laborers in the field building according to the pattern. A real Spiritual Father will not only believe in his vision but he will also be a tool himself to build it. He cannot do it alone though. It takes every one of us to see his vision and build his house. You must first build his house before you can receive your inheritance. I guess what I am trying to say is that mature leadership is without excuse and will never lean to build a tower but a man and a sons job is to study, build his father’s house and be diligent without disobedience. Disobedience will only prolong the journey of your long awaited inheritance. The laymen should examine their motives and reasons for attaching themselves to those who are not of the house that they wish to build. A Godly Father will always hear His Fathers voice and obey, then instruct the sons on what to do next. True Government is upon the doorstep of the Church once again and it is up to us to recognize it and get our house in order. Quit looking for an exit and start looking for an entrance. Stop acting like the perverted religion that we have asked for and start seeking His Kingdom first. The Kingdom of God is at Hand. It is before you not for a time to come. It is right here in front of you, right now. What are you seeking? An escape theology or a right here, right now God and His Kingdom. Lord, may your Kingdom come to those who diligently seek your face? Encourage us to look harder and give us the understanding of what it is that is right in front of us. Let your people realize that Your Kingdom has come to earth as it is in Heaven. Let your will be done through us and enlighten the eyes of our understanding. Light the candlestick in our Holy Place that we may see the table set before us and commune with you. Let us bring worship from our hearts to release your ability to remove the veil from before us. We want to see you, face to face. Let us show your Grace, Mercy and Love to a hopeless people. When the world sees a perverted and polarized government, may we have the wisdom once again to deliver them from the bondages of false kingdoms and present them with your Kingdom? Be King in my heart everyday and allow others to see you through me, your vessel and your tent. Dwell in me and clean every dark place with the light of your presence. Let the Church see her place and rest there. Bring us all into your promise and our inheritance. Let us rest in you, our true Sabbath. Scott
